A spokesman for Red Bull’s F1 teams has dismissed speculation that Italian squad Toro Rosso might replace race driver Scott Speed with Robert Doornbos for 2007.
A Dutch motor racing publication this week quoted a spokeswoman as saying: “It is not a secret that Robert wants to race, so there are talks with Toro Rosso because there could be an opportunity.”
But Thomas Hofmann, who is head of communications for Red Bull F1 Marketing, said on Wednesday: “I also can read these stories, but please be sure, this is not coming from a serious spokesperson of the team.”
