Red Bull has not made any final decisions regarding its 2007 driver lineup, Christian Klien insists.
Despite team chief Christian Horner having sung David Coulthard’s praises at Monaco, it was actually Klien – the 23-year-old Austrian – who should have claimed third place if not for a breakdown.
Red Bull is expected to announce its plans for next year later this summer, with either Klien or 35-year-old Coulthard to certainly be chopped.
Klien agreed: ”It is still a little too early to talk about the driver question.
”There is still nothing to say,” he told ‘ORF’.
”The important thing is to keep working hard to improve the car.”
Meanwhile, having used Coulthard’s podium to boost the veteran Scot’s hopes about 2007, Horner had to confess that DC’s younger teammate was the one really on course for the top-three.
He told Speed TV: ”It looked as if the podium could have been his. It was desperately unlucky for him, but he’ll fight back I’m sure.”
