Roldan Rodriguez will in the coming days be unveiled as a Spyker racer for the 2008 season, according to reports.

The Spanish newspaper Diario As says the 22-year-old GP2 driver, who last week tested the Dutch team’s single seater for the first time, has essentially reached a deal to debut in the category next year.

His appointment, thought to include a $15 million private sponsorship bounty, could be unveiled as early as Wednesday or Thursday in Madrid, it is believed.

Rodriguez’s teammate next year could be Spyker incumbent Adrian Sutil, who is under contract, but ‘As’ said the talented German is being linked with moves to Williams or Toyota.

The newspaper said Pedro de la Rosa is another Spaniard that might be racing in formula one next year, but that prospective employer Prodrive is still waiting for the financial terms of the 2008 Concorde Agreement to be settled before even committing to 2008.
