Williams might be able to keep up with reigning champions Renault this season, according to German pilot Nico Rosberg.
The 21-year-old told adrivo.com that his tip to lift the championship in 2007 is McLaren.
“Ferrari are fairly close to them,” Rosberg added, “and then the next is BMW, but with question marks (over the German team’s form).
He added: “After them are perhaps ourselves and Renault, but of course we don’t know exactly what the order is going to be.”
His new teammate Alex Wurz was quoted as recently enthusing about the newly Toyota-powered ‘FW29’, and Rosberg agrees that the car is better than its disappointing predecessor.
“We have made a good start,” Rosberg continued. “We are again developing in the right direction, in terms of speed we are much better and the reliability looks very good.
“We have some work to do on the handling, but I believe others do too.”
