Ferrari announced on Thursday that long time technical director Ross Brawn will leave the Italian team in order to concentrate on ‘his personal life’.

The statement said Mario Almondo will succeed him, with new CEO Jean Todt taking on the role of managing director ‘as an interim’.

Engine boss Paulo Martinelli is heading to a role at Fiat and will be replaced by Gilles Simon.

“Ferrari offers its most heartfelt thanks to Ross Brawn and Paolo Martinelli for their immense contribution in the drafting of an extraordinary chapter in the history of the Scuderia and motor sport,” the team said.
