Rubens not bitter as Schu exits F1

Rubens Barrichello says he has no hard feelings at the end of former Ferrari teammate Michael Schumacher’s grand prix career.

The Brazilian became known as Schumacher’s ‘number two’ during his six-season stint at the Maranello based team, and he revealed that since switching to Honda he hardly had any contact with Schumacher, 37.

“There was never the basis for a close friendship,” 34-year-old Barrichello admitted.

Rubens, however, insists that he is not bitter about the role he had to play at Ferrari until last season, including the infamous round of team orders at Austria in 2002.

“It is clear that Michael used the situation to his advantage, in order to win races and world championships,” he added. “In this business you should not expect gifts.”
