Score Massa, score!

Ferrari has urged Michael Schumacher’s teammate to put in a points scoring effort in the final two races of 2006.

Although Felipe Massa’s hopes of a good result at Shanghai a week ago were dashed with an engine change penalty, the Brazilian collided in the race with David Coulthard.

”We need Felipe to start scoring some points,” technical director Ross Brawn told Speed TV in the lead-up to the Japanese grand prix at Suzuka.

Despite Schumacher’s Chinese victory, the two-three Renault finish demoted Ferrari to second place in the constructors’ standings, even though the German took the lead of the drivers’ crown for the first time.

Brawn said of the constructors’ title: ”That’s very important for us as well.”
