Organisers of the Malaysian grand prix are targeting a three-day attendance of 125,000 for the 2007 event.
The turnstiles at Sepang last March clicked some 107,000 times, but circuit general manager Dakuk Azmi Murad is reportedly hopeful that a more extensive promotional campaign will bear fruit this year.
The Bernama news agency said 35 per cent of the available tickets for 2007 have already sold; a 30 per cent rise over 2006.
Admission to the upcoming F1 test at Sepang, meanwhile, is free, Azmi Murad told reporters.
