Retired formula one driver Michael Schumacher has reportedly turned down the recent plea of local football team ‘FC Echichens’ to help save the Swiss club from the bottom of the Swiss league.
After the 37-year-old German failed to appear at the final match of the season at the weekend, Germany’s Bild newspaper reports that Schumacher also will not be training with the third division club in the near future.
The popular tabloid said coach Patrick Ferrari ‘failed’ to woo the seven time world champion.
“(Schumacher’s) physician Dr. Johannes Peil advised him to take a break,” the report added.
