Spyker confirms Yamamoto

As anticipated, Spyker on Thursday morning confirmed that Sakon Yamamoto has secured the seat recently vacated by departed Dutch driver Christijan Albers for the remaining seven races in 2007.

Team boss Colin Kolles said of the 25-year-old, who tested for Jordan in 2005: “He is one of the most promising young Japanese drivers who showed potential in the races he contested in 2006.”
