Spyker tester to also race in 2007

Tue, 6 February 2007, 01:09

Spyker test driver Fairuz Fauzy will combine his new Friday role in formula one with a race seat.

Emulating Sebastian Vettel’s similar plans for 2007, the 24-year-old Malaysian rookie – who already races in the A1GP series – looks set for a drive with the ‘Cram CH2′ outfit in the World Series by Renault.

Out of the World Series’ nine events this year, only two of the dates clash with the 2007 formula one calendar.

A third clash is with Monaco, where World Series by Renault is run as a support event for the formula one race.

Fauzy raced in GP2 in 2005 and 2006 but scored no points.
