Spyker unveil orange ‘F8-VII’ in UK

At Silverstone (UK) on Monday morning, the locally based Dutch team Spyker revealed its new car for the 2007 season.

In a tweaked all-orange and black livery, the newly Ferrari powered car is clearly an evolution of the chassis produced by Midland last year before its Russian owners sold to a consortium led by Spyker; a historic Dutch sports car maker.

Designated ‘F8-VII’ – apparently a nod to Spyker’s heritage as an aircraft manufacturer – the racer will be exclusively shaken down at this Northamptonshire venue on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Mike Gascoyne will lead the development of the car, which will include the launch of a ‘B’ version later this season.
