Adrian Sutil has set himself a straightforward target for his rookie season on the formula one grid.
“My goal has to be to beat my teammate,” said the German, who in 2007 is partnered by Christijan Albers at the backmarking Dutch team Spyker.
At a pre-season event in Munich, 24-year-old Sutil – the reigning champion of Japanese F3 – said he was “excited” about travelling to Australia in a few days to tackle his maiden grand prix.
He said of Silverstone based Spyker, who plan to introduce a ‘B’ car in August: “For the moment the private teams are our opponents; Super Aguri, Toro Rosso, but perhaps also a works team like Toyota.
“At the end of the year perhaps we can be looking for some points,” Sutil is quoted as saying by the German news agency ‘sid’.
