Squadra Toro Rosso ready for Bahrain

Noah was spotted in the vicinity of Imola today, getting ready to build an ark as the rain kept coming and the track resembled a river rather than a road. So Scuderia Toro Rosso had to adapt its test programme once again, cutting it back to just one car – Scott Speed running in chassis 1.

In total, the American driver completed 34 laps, his quickest in 1’38”290.

“Looking at the bad conditions, we took the decision to continue with pit stop practice,” said Chief Engineer, Laurent Mekies. “It was pretty much our only option and with around 20 pit stops completed, the crew have really sharpened their skills.”

None of today’s running was aimed at performance. This was the team’s final test of the winter, so the next on the agenda is the real deal: Scuderia Toro Rosso’s Grand Prix debut in Bahrain.
