‘Stronger’ Mosley leaves scandal behind

Mar.21 (GMM) A year after the sex scandal broke, Max Mosley insists the after-shocks do not prevent him from performing fully as FIA president

In fact, the 68-year-old Briton is considering contesting a fifth consecutive election, and believes surviving the scandal has actually made him “stronger” because of those who agree he was wronged in the exposure of his private sex life

Last year, Mosley had to call off his scheduled visit to the Bahrain grand prix at the request of the royal family, sparking suggestions he will forever struggle to reclaim the credibility his office requires

“(Those stories) were put around by one particular individual who is notoriously stupid,” the Briton, presumably referring to an unnamed regular critic, said in interview with the Daily Telegraph

“That’s all I can say. But there is no question of being ostracised this year. I have had invitations to meet all sorts of heads of state,” Mosley insisted

“There hasn’t been the slightest hint of anyone of consequence not wanting to meet me, because most people are grown up about these things.”n
