Suzuka second free practice: Number two’s set the pace

Giancarlo Fisichella set the fastest time of any driver in free practice at Suzuka, edging out the third drivers who regularly shine in the Friday sessions. Massa also edged out his team mate by setting the second fastest time. Title rivals Schumacher and Alonso came in third and fourth.

In stark contrast to the first session, there was a flurry of activity on the now-drying track.
