Red Bull has announced that it has renamed its ‘B’ team to “Scuderia Toro Rosso”, ahead of their entry into Formula One in 2006. The team, which was recently bought by Red Bull, was originally named “Squadra Toro Rosso”.
“We originally announced Squadra Toro Rosso but decided that Scuderia fits better and sounds better,” a Red Bull spokeswoman told Reuters.
Although the new name still means the same as the old one, “Scuderia” means stable, as opposed to “Squadra”, which is commonly used to refer to football teams.
