BMW-Sauber’s newly launched ‘F1.07’ completed a trouble-free debut run on Tuesday afternoon at an overcast Valencia circuit.

In the hands of Nick Heidfeld, and with the team’s former owner Peter Sauber on hand to spectate, the car exited the garage at 1pm.

“We are now armed for the first real test which will take place here from Wednesday to Friday this week,” said BMW motor sport director Mario Theissen.
