Toyota’s Jarno Trulli is suffering from a high fever but it is just a “cold”, according to team manager Richard Cregan.
The Italian driver did not attend a planned PR stopover in Tokyo on Monday because he is unwell, but Toyota figures are playing down the prospect that Trulli, 32, might have to sit out the season opening grand prix in Australia.
Cregan said in a statement provided to Reuters: “Jarno just has a cold.
“We allowed him to not participate in the event in Japan but he will be in Australia.”
