Toyota racer Jarno Trulli has a new race engineer, according to reports in Germany.

The magazine ‘Motor Sport Aktuell’ says Ossi Oikarinen recently left the Cologne based team in order to work with a fellow Finn either at Ferrari (Kimi Raikkonen) or Renault (Heikki Kovalainen).

Interestingly, 32-year-old Trulli does have a link with Finland, as he was named by his Italian parents after the late motorcycling world champion Jarno Saarinen.

One of Trulli’s assistant engineers, Gianluca Pisanello, will step into the role for the rest of the year.

Oikarinen joined Toyota in 2000.
