Vettel European best sportsman

Three-time World Champion, Sebastian Vettel has been named European athlete of the Year by journalists from 26 European press agencies.

Vettel reached this year for his third consecutive championship title in Formula One, making himself one of only three man who did that. German is the youngest among them.

Thanks to that achievement German has been awarded a European Athlete of the Year title in voting of journalists from 26 different news agencies all over the Europe. His main rivals were cyclist Bradley Wiggins and runner Mo Farah.

Vettel collected 137 votes. Wiggins was second with 130 votes and Farah third with 126 votes.

It`s not first prestigious award or nomination this year for Vettel. Earlier German was nominated to Laureus World Sportsman of the Year prize.
