Three-time World Champion, Sebastian Vettel has been nominated to prestigious Laureus award in Sportsman category.
Vettel reached this year for his third consecutive championship title in Formula One, making himself one of only three man who did that. German is youngest among them.
Thanks to that achievement German has been nominated to Laureus World Sportsman of the Year prize. His rivals are Lionel Messi, Usain Bolt, Michael Phelps, Bradley Wiggins and Mo Farah.
Not only Vettel was nominated – also his team – Red Bull Racing has chances for this prestigious award. Austrian squad is nominated in category: World Team of the Year. It`s rivals are China Olympic Table Tennis team, Miami Heat, Spain Football team, US basketball team and European Ryder Cup team.
Awards will be given in march 2013 on a special gala in Rio de Janeiro.
