German teenager Christian Vietoris will test a BMW-Sauber late next year after winning Sunday’s formula BMW ‘World Finals’ race in Spain.
The 17-year-old, who won from pole position, also took $60,000 in prize money and on Thursday watched young countryman Marco Holzer, 18, enjoy the F1 prize from last year with 65 laps of the ‘Ricardo Tormo’ Valencia layout.
“Naturally I am really looking forward to my formula one test,” Vietoris said.
F1 racers Sebastian Vettel and Nico Rosberg also started their single seater careers in formula BMW.
