F1’s 1997 world champion Jacques Villeneuve became a father for the first time when wife Johanna gave birth to a boy on Tuesday.
They reportedly named him Jules.
French Canadian Villeneuve, 35, married Parisian Johanna the day after this year’s Monaco grand prix. Following the Hockenheim race in late July, he left the BMW-Sauber team to be replaced by Robert Kubica.
Jacque’s own father was formula one driver Gilles Villeneuve, who crashed his Ferrari and died at the 1982 Belgian grand prix at Zolder.
