Jacques Villeneuve has ruled out returning to formula one in the near future.

The 1997 world champion has raced in the famous Le Mans 24 hour race and in American stock car events since being pushed out of his BMW-Sauber seat in favour of Robert Kubica last year.

And whilst preparing to drive in Friday’s Craftsman Truck Series race in Texas, the 36-year-old said: “I’m done with F1.

“I spent a lot of years there and gave it everything I had. I don’t think I would have energy for F1 right now,” Villeneuve added.
