Villeneuve to DTM?

Jacques Villeneuve should take Audi’s rumoured offer of a DTM drive. At least this is the opinion of DailyF1News readers, according to our last poll. Following firm reports of an open NASCAR offer for Jacques and then a report of a DTM offer from Audi, we asked you where you thought he should go.

47% voted for DTM which could, in the long run, open up a Le Mans opportunity for the Canadian – considering Audi’s extensive and highly successful Le Mans programme. Just short of 15% thought going straight for Le Mans would be the best idea, with NASCAR not proving a popular choice at a meagre 10%.

Almost 28% had clearly heard enough of JV, voting “Who cares?”.

Meanwhile, Flavio Briatore has fired warning shots at McLaren and Ferrari, making it clear that he doesn’t feel that Alonso’s loss removes Renault from the championship equation. Most believe that Ferrari are the favourites, with McLaren second in the running, Renault third and Honda being the dark horse. There are even some that believe the Red Bull combination of Adrian Newey and Renault could prove the suprise of the season.

Who do you believe will take the constructors’ title this year? Get voting on our home page!
