Mark Webber is due at Red Bull’s UK factory this week, according to the Milton-Keynes based team.
Having secured an early release from his Williams contract, and after completing a trip to his native Australia, 30-year-old Webber will have a seat fitted for the 2006 ‘RB2’ and then make his debut at Barcelona late next week, a team document read.
According to reports, the man he replaces at Red Bull – Christian Klien – also had a new seat fitted this week. The Austrian was due at Honda’s Brackley factory and will similarly debut at Spain’s Circuit de Catalunya.
The first three day test of the ‘winter’ period kicks off next Tuesday.
