Williams retain sponsors for 2007

A raft of Williams’ existing sponsors will remain on the Oxfordshire based team’s ‘FW29′ livery in 2007.

It is understood that 2006 backers Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), Tata, Reuters, Hamleys, Petrobras and Oris are all signed to appear on the new Toyota-powered car, which will be officially unveiled with a white and navy blue livery early next month.

There is some uncertainty, however, about the status of Allianz, after the name and logo of the German insurance firm did not appear either on Williams’ interim car in winter testing or the recent unofficial photos of the 2007 livery.

Williams will be title-sponsored by AT&T in 2007, but the FW29 is to feature even more prominent signage of the Chinese computer brand Lenovo.

The deal is yet to be announced.

When unveiled at Grove on February 2, the ‘FW29’ will also feature the sponsor names Randstad and Philips Shavers.
