Bernie Ecclestone and F1’s parent company are being sued in the High Court for a staggering $297m.
Swiss company Kamos-Finanz is seeking the unpaid debt, including interest, after Ecclestone’s family trust took out a loan in 2001, according to the Independent newspaper.
Reportedly, the loan helped to fund the 100-year lease of F1’s commercial rights.
”(F1 company) SLEC and (Ecclestone’s family trust) Bambino declined to comment,” the British broadsheet wrote.
