War is threatening to once again break out in F1.

The ‘Sunday Times’ in England is reporting that ‘GPMA’ carmakers are so fed up with the FIA’s engine freeze doggedness that they could renew their threat to quit the sport.

A meeting with Max Mosley is scheduled this coming week, where the FIA president could be told that Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Toyota and Honda are prepared to walk away if they do not get what they demand.

GPMA chairman Burkhard Goeschel was quoted as saying: ”Why would any manufacturer want to invest in a sport where they can’t showcase their technical expertise?”

Another GPMA manufacturer said Mosley’s immovable stance was ‘the final straw’.
