Jazeman Jaafar will debut in Formula 1 car in his home city – Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia during demonstration run.

21-year-old Jaafar is a member of the Petronas Talent Programme and on Sunday 17 March, during special promotional event he will have chance to drive Mercedes car. It will be just a week before Malaysian Grand Prix.

“It’s difficult to describe the emotions I had when I was told by Petronas that I would be given the chance to drive for the Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula One Team. I’m happy, excited, proud and impatient for 17 March! I am very grateful to Petronas for their support and putting their faith in me to put on a good show” – said Jaafar.

In 2012 Jaafar was British Formula 3 Championship driver where he was second, just behind Jack Hervey. This year he will compete in Formula Renault 3.5 in Carlin team.

He won`t be the only Mercedes` driver during show. Second will be Sam Bird from Mercedes Development Driver programme.
