Locals expect warm, dry Turkish GP

Istanbul looks set to turn on a warm and dry weekend for the second Turkish GP.

Local television station ‘Kanal 7’ is forecasting weather in the low-30s (C) from Thursday through to Saturday, which could rise to 33 on race day at the ‘Otodrom’ circuit, located on the Asian side of the famous Bosphorus bridge.

The highest chance of rain is for Thursday morning, but the skies should be clear by noon.

The spectacular Otodrom was built at a cost of some $100 million for its debut last August, but traffic and logistical chaos prevented many fans from even reaching the circuit for the green flag.
