Five drivers turned test laps at Spain’s Valencia circuit on Monday.
Williams test driver Kazuki Nakajima emerged with the quickest time despite a morning spin, on a day that was thwarted by a damp track that dried later on.
In a second Toyota-powered FW29, Alex Wurz went second fastest, clearly ahead of Spyker’s Giedo van der Garde and Adrian Valles who both qualified for their mandatory Super License.
Adrian Sutil, meanwhile, performed a “shakedown” in a second F8-VII.
