As another dry day of Bahrain testing kicked off on Saturday, F1’s only American Scott Speed sparked rumours of his imminent confirmation as Toro Rosso’s second race driver for 2007 by emerging at the wheel of the new STR2 machine.
At the Sakhir circuit, it is the 24-year-old racer’s first go in a formula one car since the season ending Brazilian GP last October.
