Spyker and Williams on Tuesday tested under an overcast sky at Valencia on Tuesday.
On day two of the three day run in Spain, Alex Wurz again topped the times, after Williams’ press office explained that timing information provided on Monday was wrong.
Team test driver Kazuki Nakajima was originally credited for having set the best lap of the day ahead of Wurz, but in fact he had been more than a second off the pace.
Nico Rosberg replaced the Japanese on Tuesday, as Malaysian rookie Fairuz Fauzy joined the fray for Spyker and collected enough mileage for his mandatory FIA Super License.
With the quickest Spyker runner Christijan Albers nearly two seconds off Wurz’s pace, however, Mike Gascoyne admitted: “We are struggling to make the tyres work on the first lap.”
The test concludes on Wednesday, when Williams’ second test driver Narain Karthikeyan is scheduled to replace Wurz.
